Re: DRM and custom ROMs

IS there a definitve answer as to why DRM doesn't work on custom roms? I have never seen anyone, any cooks explain why DRM is broken/missing/or left out of custom roms. What will it take to get an answer.

I have a Rhapsody-to-go account and I'm contented that I can transfer my license tracks to my 16GB SD and listen to them with Pocket Player. But, I can only do this on the stock rom! Is there a reason why the stock roms are the only ones supported? Splain please.
I'm teased and tortured by all these custom roms but ill lose one of main functions I use my expensive HTC brick for *sigh* and I doubt Sprint will release anymore updated roms for my phone. So, can someone please explain why it's broken in custom roms? Im pretty much fed up.
PS: Lossless conversion/stripping can no longer be done on rhapsody tracks and lossy conversion is too much of a hassle.
