A few weeks ago my screen stopped responding to inputs, then after a day or so of not messing with it fixed itself. Just last night the screen seemed to respond to inputs, but only as if I am touching the same spot (bottom right corner) over and over, no matter where I place the stylus. I assume the issue is still happening and is preventing proper alignment of the screen.

Unless I'm given some bright idea my only plan for now is to let it be for a day or so, and hope the screen works its issues out in the mean time.

your screen problem is definitely causing the align screen repeat. are you putting the phone into bootloader mode before attempting the relock? you can relock using your sd card too. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=61333
