Does it happen when your using youtube? I played loads of videos on it and I was amazed how loud and clear it was on the evo no static or crackle. I haven't tried playing mp3's or mp4's yet. Just wondering if it might be your source causing the issue. If it happens there as well maybe you should get another one.
