Re: 6/3/10 V9.2 (23563) Roms in 7 Colors Themes with Matching Dialer,XDA_UC

Haven't tried the v9.2 all carrier yet, but on the v9.1 (and historically on others) bing cannot communicate with vzw gps. Location is turned on, google maps has no problems but bing cannot get a fix. I'm guessing it isn't getting the gps data from the gps intermediate driver. I tried all the com ports in bing but nothing worked. Big's cookie rom is a specific vzw rom so I tried it and (voila) it worked. I looked at all the settings including some registry (probably not all) and couldn't find any difference. That's when I had the brainstorm about the TW 9.2 VZW build. I flashed the special build (thanks again) and (voila again) bing finds my gps posit just fine. I'm not sure if creating a specific vzw build uses different drivers or possibly sets up the registry different. I haven't been able to isolate it yet. (Nice day here so I've been working outside!) I was thinking about going back to one of the first verizon.cab files and seeing if that would do it. I've also tried searching all the usual sites for a fix.

BTW, I had to run the tjelite file to get mms to work on the special build and it didn't have voice command installed but I had all the cabs necessary. It was set up as I normally have it when it froze this am. Not sure what the issue is but I thought I would report it.

I know this is a lot of words without much information. But I'll keep looking.
