the read/write calendar events is because i think astrid has the ability to put task deadlines on your calendar for you. now the read phone calls isn't exactly what it sounds. google is just thorough enough to put that tag in there because the program may act a certain way if you on a call such as diminished alarm volume or no alarm at all. most programs will access the "phone calls" because they'll just do something different when the phone is in use
when i had the hero i used astrid a lot and never had any problems with it
