Convenience! That is the best reason for oem’s. Especially with this new crop of 6.1 firmware, I find myself flashing my ROM multiple times a day. I don’t want to keep installing my cab’s every time. I have combined some of my most useful cab’s all into one cab incase I want to try a prebaked Rom and want to add my apps in one step. With that said, I stopped backing some programs like s2u2 into my ROMs just for the simple fact that there is a new version every other day. Some stuff like games and what not never or rarely update. Those are prime oem candidates. Plus, baking your own is just fun and cool! Yes, I am a geek! These are just my reasons and thoughts.
