One thing that'll surely cause trouble is faulty terminal contact. I think that's why card terminal pads are made of gold. Apparently, inside the card slot that is so inconveniently burried deep within our Touch phones, there are contact points, presumably at the end of flexible and/or spring loaded fingers. If some crucial little bit of data fails to pass this touchy junction while you're writing to the card, well, you know what Windows does when it later tries to read something it doesn't understand, right?

Just had my 1st occurance of card corruption this morning. What an awful feeling! Then, I remembered that late last night, I switched out my 4gig card and inserted my 6gig in sort of dark lighting. So, first try was to remove and re-insert the card, cleaning those important contact pads with a clean dry cloth while at it. Guess what? Everything's fine again, but the perfect record I've enjoyed for 3 months now has a blemish. See previous thread... http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...217#post172217
