@thestick00 - tweaking like that probably takes about 10 min. if you are running stock, load the icon/tabs/taskbar cabs(pg1)...it does take a min or two to get used to backgrounds (stuff around the widgets) and which specific one you want. once you do it's very easy to manipulate.
there is a little learning curve, which I'm sure you've read, this being a new UI---just like picking up Sense for the first time...once you get it, it's very easy. PM if you need help with setting up your widgets, I'd be glad to help
