So if I claim my insurance on the Moment and have it active for a day or two, then activate the EVO...what would the value of the Moment be to someone? Should I just throw in on eBay and see what happens? Is this process legit and possible?

Does anyone see any drawbacks from this?
Do you have another phone you can use? I'm sure you could get a lot more for it if it's New, in box. If you know you are going to get an evo anyways, see if someone you know has a loaner phone to hold you over. But like HTCman said. You may just want to forgo getting a new phone through insurance altogether, just in case something goes wrong with your Evo. It is an 1st Gen HTC phone so chances are pretty high that something will be wrong with it
