Not true... I flash to every new rom update and I use the router every single day... including right now while I am typing this post.
What I have to do is create a new connection.
Go to Settings>Connections>Connections
Go down to "My Work Network"
Click "Add a new modem connection"
Give it a name or accept the default (I call mine Internet)
Click next
Enter #777
Click next
Leave all blank (User Name, Password, Domain)
Click Finish
Now go start the WiFi router
You will see under Internet connection it should show Sprint and "Intenet" (or whatever you named it)
Stop the router, switch to the "Internet" and Start the router
Click the check box to save the password (it should all be blank)
Click Ok
Done...
