I found a bit of a "trick" put a custom background (progloss)on the calendar widget, then when expanded, it will cover everything in the background instead of blurring them together...probably what Big and the Beta's are doing already, but this way I can have the clock, calendar widget, 3 quick links, and 3 notifications and everything is viewable.
