Reflash and do a hard reset, then set up and see how it goes. Like Darren said, unless you're tethering, etc it shouldn't get warm.

I'm on Sprint and the only thing that's been needed is let it auto provision and run your favorite arcsoft cab. Let Psycho wake up today and hopefully he can chime in on what he uses as he's on VZW.
