you can adjust the amount of days to look ahead in the registry... that will speed up loading. maybe cut it down to 2 weeks or something. a similar mod was created on xda a while back and they have the registry edits listed there, so look it over on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=668079
