I am in complete agreement with you, I do retail myself, but I don't conduct business like that, I make sure everything is functional and unflawed(if thats a word), if someone buys something from me I offer full support as long as its something that wasn't caused by me of course, if they screwed something up, thats different, and I seriously just find it to be a PTIA every time I try to HSPL something, so losing business is kinda karma for taxing everyone I guess.
