While it is a very nice app, I agree it is not ready for purchase. I have not sent any messages yet so I don't know about the delay.

I have experienced the keyboard issue on the Touch (it uses the password keyboard instead of the XT9).

Also when I get a message I do get the SMS-Chat notification on the screen and also the notification LED (changed from green to orange), but after opening the message, the LED never changed back to green, the notification does not seem to clear.

The pictured would be a huge plus as well.

A tip, if you use the standard SMS app (Outlook) and have folders for your friends or whatever (to save received messages), they will not be incorporated into the threads. The app takes messages from the Inbox and the Sent Messages folder and makes them into threads. Because of this, my threads are all made of sent messages from Sent Items and have no incoming messages.

Quitting SMS-Chat and moving everything back to Inbox and restarting SMS-Chat will fix the app. It seems that SMS-Chat checks for this every time it is started in case messages were sent/received before it was opened and went to the stock app.

I'd also recommend backing up your messages before installing this. I used dotfred's PIMBackup. And the Palm Threaded users just need to copy the PalmMsgVol001 (or something like that) file in the \Windows directory.
