update: I've hard reset and reinstall WModem but still no go. So whatever changes ics and wmodem fix.cab madc is not the answer either.
Just can't imagine what kind of setting or changes they made to TP2 that prevert use of wmodem. The phone does dial in and appear to initiate some sort of data connection but the verify user name on computer never goes thr allthe way like it used to.
