One thing you might check is whether or not you have a lot of other apps running. Hold down your OK button and this will bring up a window w/ all of your running apps. If you're not aware, "X"-ing out of an app does not close that app, but just minimizes it. If you have too many running, it will definitely slow everything else down. There are several progs out there that will allow you to actually close out of a running app.
