Ok it's my fault.

Ten pages back I said I loved 4-10 and was reluctant to upgrade from something working so well. Then fishingmedic suggested SASHIMI - and now after becoming barely proficient enough so that flashing a rom is not such a time-intensive activity, and flashing 4-22 I freaking can't wait for Mr. X's latest. What a great rom - it makes my phone so much better.
