7-25 Rom Updates - No MaxSense Updates for now.. Max has been away...

• Dialer now shows city of incoming call based on area code
• Removed bsb/google maps (might bring google back, but im using bing now)
• Fixed document tab (now loads correctly)
• Cleaned start menu (rearranged some things and resized more large icons (more memory))
• Removed notification enhancement (no need with maxsense controlling notifications)
• Cleaned MaxSense wallpaper (removed some and resized and compressed)
• Added htc msg client (will show up under manila contact details and when sms is clicked in message tab.. otherwise winmo is default)
• New welcome & first boot custom screens
• Added bubble style messaging for WinMo & HTC clients
• Set ameba default (when start button is pressed and held it will start task manager)
• IE6 with flash (works great!)
• Opera now has flash (have to enable plugins from advanced settings)
• Opera is now default for ALL apps and auto rotates

Quick note.....


By default original graphics are chosen for weather widget.. i did this because i thought it worked fine...
But for even more speed uncheck "original graphics" in weather widget settings...

7-14 MaxSense Updates

• Analog clock widget with dual time/clock feature
• New Text scrolling panel widget ( text will scroll on the panel upon updates on registry ). This is actually planned for stock updates but I still don't have the time to update yet

6-25-10 ROM Update

• Removed voice command EXT package
  VC still should work because i left the VC package in OEM... If not just install the VC package attached

  Will update with some personal touches soon
• Added maxsense backup/restore - Its located in the Tool Folder
• MaxSense Memory gauge shortcut Added to access Windows Mobile Memory

  This is not set as default. Go into weather widget settings and uncheck original graphics. This will speed up MaxSense some.

6-25 MaxSense Changelog

1. New music player (album art, scrolling text, repeat, shuffle, and goto music tab buttons) (Also 2 different layouts)

Known Bugs/Issues with 6-25-10 ROM

• HTC message client is not installed. If you are in HTC contacts and choose to send a text message it will show a blank screen. you will have to go into message tab to send text or use the action screen.
  Working on a fix for this, but might be a hot minute

Known Bugs/Issues with MaxSense in 6-25-10 Release

• New SMS will not update in the alert display. the count shows fine on the sms widget, but if i press the sms it will display "no message" OR the previous message
  Once i go to see the message and go back home it will sometimes display and sometimes will take a bit longer to update... I have also seen once or twice that it WILL display correctly, but not often
  This problem is caused by the ROM error above. HTC message client needs to be installed for it to function correctly.. I AM WORKING IT
• the data on/off toggle widget does not function.. if i click it it brings up comm manager.
  Response from Max Data toggle only disconnect. When diconnected, it will navigate to comms mgr. Connection can be done but need some programming fm .netcf
• When internet widget is clicked on (inside search box) the top and bottom bars of WinMo are visible overlapping maxsense. sure its becuase of the keyboard
  being accessed, but is there anyway to stop that from happening.. not a big deal, just mentioning it
  Response from Max Can't be helped. When the keyboard is activated, the top/bottom bar will takeover. This is Winmo behaviour. Unless I reconstruct the whole keyboard fm scratch.

How to get speed performance in max sense?

• Putting more widgets on screen will slow things down and the best way is to switch off certain settings when necessary. Below are some of the settings which you can tweak to get optimum performance
• Minimize or hide weather animation
• Minimize or hide taskbar
• Minimize all alerts and use a single alert display panel
• Use less widgets

Theme Requirements and Compatibility:

Must have MaxSense Installed

Theme Installation Instructions:
Download the cab and run it on your device.
If you have a problem installing it, try turning off Sense (All Settings -> Today), installing the cab and then turning Sense back on.

Important notes: (Themes)
This cab just alters Manila QTC Image Files
Wallpaper is Installed to \My Documents\Wallpaper
Widget Background are installed to \My Documents\DuskWidgetBacks

The Widget Background ARE NOT applied by default. Once you install cab it will install them in the above location. Then use the following steps to change them..

TO APPLY WIDGET BACKGROUNDS
From home screen choose edit widgets
Click on the widget that you would like to change the background
Change the background to Custom
Once you press okay the HTC album is opened
Navigate to the folders i provided to choose the widget background you would like.

How to backup maxsense :

With the Current ROM 2 shortcuts are in the tools folder

• MaxSenseBackup
• MaxSenseRestore

The backup file is created in \Storage Card\Application Data\MaxSense. If there is no SD-Card, then the backup file is created in \Application Data\MaxSense in the main memory

Open Task Manager and go to the Regedit.
Go to HKCU or HKLM .
Them go to one of the register key's mentioned in the code boxes.
Now click and hold the key you want to backup till there come's a pop up screen.
Then export the registry key.

2) A: Put your phone face down and it's muted (just a handy feature for some people)

4) Q: How do I change the language in Manila? (Multi Lang cab only)
4) A: You have to edit a registry value in HKCU / MUI / CurLang. The CurLang value determines what language will appear in Manila. After you've made the changes, re-start manila. Currently, languages included are as below with hex value.
