Re: (¯`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.-* Energy *|Apr 21| 21899|23563 -.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.

As of today, I am Energ-ized.

1st: Let me express my gratitude. I'm on the receiving end of countless hours of other geeks intense labor. The big pot of thanks goes off to the OP.

Overall, I REALLY like the interface.

I'm just coming off of the EchoMatics Haze Rom. I found Haze to be exceptionally good. It's a fully featured Rom and I have nothing but praise for EchoMatics' (or whoever he is now) efforts in the endeavor.

That said, Energy is a highly polished piece of work. The email accounts were easy to setup. The interface is more intuitive than Haze; even though I'll have to search out some apps I came to depend on.

I suppose I did come across an issue or two...
Way back when I Hazed, I stuck a US Cellular Radio package in this Sprint phone. It's been terrific.

However, callers are now hearing 5 rings before my phone starts to ring. By the time I pick it up the call has timed out. I'll experiment with different Radios and update the PRL to see if that straightens it out.

Also: my Gmail accounts are only grabbing a day or two's worth of mail. I usually keep 7-15 days on the 3 Gmail accounts that are monitored. I've adjusted the Outlook/Exchange (via Google) account but haven't come across how to modify the POP accounts. I'll keep pecking away at it.

I didn't see a WiFi Router/Hotspot app. I can tether for now until I come across it - or another one.
(edit:I found the WiFi Router)

I like that the notifications (for email, etc) are right on the Today Screen.

I'm not nuts about how Contacts are laid out by default. I'm probably biased due to my contact list being wiped out on both ends, during my initial Exchange sync.

It's not the first time that happened, so I DID backup prior to the initial Hard-set. However that backup was absent from the SDCard. I had an older one that was close enough and am back in business.

So I'll Play with Radios again, try to tweak my Contacts Layout and see if I can locate a few apps I've come to depend on.

Mostly I'm really pleased.
Thanks to everyone who put so much time into a really professional quality ROM.

edit: I am increasingly impressed w/ the Eye Candy.
