Of course they wouldn't lower my bill. So don't give me that crap about this $10 fee being because I will use more data (when I already supposedly have unlimited data anyway).
No because Sprint doesn't sell the Mogul anymore so why create rules surrounding it. Consider this a line in the sand, that from this point on, these are the rules. You don't have to accept them if you want to stick with your TP2, but if you want the latest and greatest you do.

Maybe Sprint is looking at this as an Android tax, you want open source, to be able to circumvent carrier control you have to pay. I wonder if any WP7 devices will be subject to this fee? Since Applesoft has killed all the customization from their phones and Sprint can have some pull on content release, I'd be curious to see whether the fee follows all devices or not.

I don't work for Sprint, I really don't know what the fee is specifically for. I do know that for the freedom I will get with this device, i.e. custom roms, native code, tethering, wifi hotspot for free (due to hacks) is it really such a bad thing?

I just see to many PROS about the device that warrants the $10 and the only CON is the $10. Did you ever think that Sprint knows it's going to be raped with people using this device to circumvent other fees it can charge with other phones. Now granted I won't be an early adapter. I will wait till the very least to see if I can tether undetected for free or just a one time fee app. I might wait to see if it can be rooted too before jumping ship. But a month or so from the 4th I expect to have one of these puppies in my hand, and paying an extra crappy $10 a month...
