You're problem 9/10 comes from other applications gradually eating program memory, which will slow down responses from other primary functions.
Not roaming on the latest PRL can cause those goofs too.

Thats what I thought too, but when I look at my memory, it still shows around 20MB free.. and this occurs even if I haven't had any other programs except messaging running since my last soft reset. But I will definitely ask about the PRL thing.. out of curiosity, what does PRL stand for?
And I was planning on getting some task and memory managers once I figured out these problems, but now is as good as time as any since you were kind enough to give me links without me searching for one.
