Here are a few ideas:

1. Reboot
2. Check reception
3. Tower Polling

I recall changing how often my phone (6600) would poll the tower, and that cured the "delayed" ring. I haven't seen it mentioned here, but as I recall, it was done by accessing one of the ##xxx# menus. If 1 & 2 aren't the issues, post back & I'll help ya track it down.

Edit: Got bored waiting for game to start...and tired of ESPN crying about LeBron...so here ya go:

Slot Cycle determines how often your phone polls the local tower. You want to decrease this number, but I would suggest doing it incrementally to test it out to find what works for you, because it WILL drain your battery faster (obviously).

Follow this thread (see post #2) to read how to get to the menu. But note you'll need your MSL.
