I had the same issues so hopefully I can help.

You do not need to do anything at all once you install GPSModDriver. I know it pops up that it installed on COM3 blah blah blah, but that's all meaningless. No GPS settings need to be changed.

1)Open GPSModDriver
2)Open TomTom
3)Go to GPS Status in TomTom (CHANGE PREFERENCES -> (preferences 6/6) SHOW GPS STATUS), choose CONFIGURE, select OTHER NMEA GPS RECEIVER, leave baud at default, and then on the GPS IS CONNECTED TO screen, select GpsModDriver and finally, click DONE.

Everything should work great now. I can't even notice any lag! Just make sure to first open GPSModDriver first, everytime you want to use TomTom, and close it after you are done.

Once again, that's all you have to change. THERE ARE NO OTHER SETTING CHANGES NEEDED TO BE MADE!
