GPS Configuration Problems SA2008HH-Verizon XV6800

GPS Configuration Problems SA2008HH-Verizon XV6800 w/ Windows Mobile 6-Holux GPSlim 236

Software/Hardware Specs

I have a Verizon XV6800 with SA2008HH installed but I can’t get it to find and connect to the Holux GPSlim 236 GPS receiver. Google Maps will connect and use the GPS.

The Bluetooth GPS is connected on COM0. Under Start>Settings>System>External GPS Program Port is set to Com9 and Hardware Port is set to COM0.

SA2008HH GPS settings are the following:

Device: NMEA0183
Baud Rate: 4800
Comport: Virtual COM9

When connecting the status starts as “Looking for GPS device” then changes to “No GPS device detected”.

Thanks,
Any help would be appreciated.
