One way would be to charge for it directly, another way would be to put anybody who wants a new age device into a new age plan. its up to them and yes it is fair. the fact that you think your 10 year old plan should work with a new age phone is honestly unfathomable to me and completely over my head. I don't see your point at all and i didn't miss the point.

As far as I know nobody on Sprint with an Android device currently has 4g, but they were forced to move to a higher priced plan to use their phone!
