Glad re-flash works for U. I personally suggest to hard-reset just after flash (that prevent some bad flashing, in my experience).
btw what radio version are you using? what sys ROM are you using 21xxx or 23xxx?
in the taskbar you see an "ev" or "1x" or "wifi" ICON? you know what is roamin?
you 've your phone in a data-plan or without data (just voice) ??

I need your answers for help you because is really different for sys21xxx that for sys23xxx,
for example in 23xxx series you just drag&drop ICONs on the StartMenu Window but in sys21xxx series you need a program as "Re-Start" from showaco .

--1x only but my previous samsung corby used to access 'ev'- I dont know how to do that with this phone ,any help here too would be much appreciated..

--I am not able to drag and drop icons in the start menu it just keeps jumping back to its own place
