You don't need pureblack or home screen customizer to get rid of the gap from the bottom of the screen. Just use the updated realvga 96dpi cab from
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=119097. I added some some files to 96 resources. If you want i can send you those files. Let me know.
