It's quite possible. Probably not (at least at this point) on the level of the Vogue port, which has a bootloader which immediately boots into linux. (That would involve a good deal of work to correctly initialize the hardware that currently piggybacks on the initialization provided by WinMo.)

But, as I understand it, some of the devs have been successful in at least writing and reading from the nand. From there, I think the idea was to put a very lightweight winmo rom that immediately booted to Android from the nand flash. (There is already a lightweight winmo rom that immediately boots to Android from the SD Card.)

For some reason, nothing's been done on that in a while. But I don't believe the impediments are technical; just manpower-related.
