The two primary factors affecting chargerate are: features turned on (like backlight and WIFI), and mA your charger will supply. Your PC will only supply about .5 mA, same as most cigarette lighter chargers. The stock charger is either .75 or 1, I don't recall which. If you are plugged in via USB to your PC, your backlight will be on, noticeably increasing your time to charge.
