Might be dumb question but would you soft reset and after phone is up and running(task manager icon shows up) then go to music tab and press library and check now playing and artist tab see if anything is showing up
Also do you have an extra SD card that you can put a few songs on in a folder called My Music and check again just want to rule out bad sd card or if it needs to be reformated to FAT32 and resynced with music
