Welcome to the revolution!
QFE.

I've been dissatisfied with WinMo since the TP1 came out in 2008. At that time, my only real other option was the iPhone. Although WinMo is a dead OS now, I still feel that WM6.5 is a better mobile OS than iPhone OS 3 is. What it lacks in speed and ingenuity it makes up for in customization, hackability; not being a "walled garden". HTC has worked very hard to make the WinMo experience acceptable, and IMO, they have succeeded. They've given the OS a much needed face-lift, and the Sense experience is refreshing. Hell, Sense has come a longer way in 1.5 years than WinMo has in 5. *chuckle*

I use Android on my TP2 from time to time, and when we get sound, battery, and GPS fully working, I'll use it all the time (if it's done before the Evo release). My gf also has a Hero that I love to use as well.

Android is just a better platform. Period. It's so fluid compared to other mobile OS's. I'm excited to be a part of a community that's open source, especially as a developer. I won't have to worry about submitting my apps to the "App Store" and get them rejected (read: Apple). I can't wait.
