Not only that, but when you change phones you don't have to deal with some of the worst customer service in the world, and there is no lag waiting for a phone to be activated. Plus, you don't have to worry about someone telling you that your plan isn't compatible, looking over your account and changing something you didn't want changed, etc. And you can store your contacts on your SIM if you want so they are already on your new phone.
GSM is basically better in every imaginable way. The only thing CDMA might have on it is price and coverage depending on where you are and what options are available in your area.
