It doesn't use the native windows lock system, so it executes its own code to lock buttons. That whole process basically ruins the stability of my phone. I switched it back to Windows Default and used the locker tool in the tools folder to enable locking on standby and so far, battery has been decent and NO freezing or mysterious hard button failures. The lock screen isn't bad, actually, as I get my ACTUAL task bar (one of the complaints of the CHT lock screen), a big clock with a date, and one of my appointments. And the lock slider is more than halfway up the screen which makes it much more comfortable to unlock. Suffice it to say, I am much happier now.
Just wanted to follow up on this. I witness amazing standby time with the changes I made in my quoted post (mainly turning off the CHT lock screen and using the default WinMo one). I still have exchange and weather updates, and friday evening I probably started at about 82% or so (charges on the way home in the car) and sunday late morning it was still at 37%. No I hardly used it, but still - if I had left it the way it was before, with the CHT lock screen, it would have been dead. And, more importantly, I think I FINALLY fixed the black screen/freezing issues! They were all the same cause. So, again, I am still thrilled here.
