Thanks for the replies, The main reason for this update is that after a year of having this phone ,lately the thing is glitching .

Lots of programs are locking up for no apparent reason. Also this update supposedly adds more weather locations.

So I was looking on the sprint website and found a link to down load this update. Realize I have never flashed a rom or even tried though I think it is great to have that option.

Any way ,I have never had any problems with connecting via usb until I started to flash it. It was connected to the host pc, and starts the unlock process which must shut down some windows service on the phone, because at this point the pc loses connection to the phone , then shows up as a qualcom msm non recognized device.

I reset the phone by soft reset, goes right back to the windows 6.1 screen and no changes are applied.

The program to flash it stops responding when it loses the connection.

I realize you guys are generations ahead of me with your custom mods and such ,probably wouldnt even try this, but I have searched htc website for this problem to no avail. Thats why I came here.
