Re: WePad: Android Device Running Flash/Java/AIR

I had read about the wepad about a week ago. Nice device. I travel quite a bit and I hate lugging around a laptop into airports, to and from etc. I looked at the ipad but I hate the closed Apple OS, lack of features etc.

The Wepad looks like a viable alternative. The screen resolution is a big plus for me as 1024 is a bit limiting but the Wepad has a larger resolution along with more memory and the big thing is the Android OS which gives access to some useful apps.

The one thing I didn't care for is the price, I thought it was a little high. I also would prefer not having the 3G as I can use wifi for net access but would like the additional 16 gigs of memory that comes with the 3G version but is not available with the wifi only version.

I didn't see when it would become available but when it does I will take a hard look at it.
