So today I installed Handcent SMS and in the options saw that there was a special setting for CDMA users:
Quote:
Split 160: Automatically split SMS when its length exceeds 160 characters (useful for CDMA network customers)
|
also
Quote:
Auto-convert to MMS: Automatically convert to MMS when length exceeds 3
|
messages
By default, the first option was off, and the second was on...
I'm currently testing all conditions....well maybe I should stop to google this first....to see if maybe the problem has to do with the way Android sends texts, and that this fixes it? I'm pretty sure though that the problem we're having isn't for texts over 160 chars...so this probably isn't the root of the problem...idk .
Just sent a text over 160 to my friend (he's got a Droid) and he said the message got cut off when I enabled "Split message" and disabled "send as mms"...efffff
