You have a TP2, are you making sure you only installing WVGA themes, different resolutions do not show because they are not for your unit...
PLEASE VERIFY RESOLUTION MATCH DEVICE RESOLUTION BEFORE DOWNLOADING...

I haven't had any issues with doing 3 way call, how are you activation 3 way, are you using the conference button under the in call screen?
UPDATED: I tried to activate a conference call with 2 out going call but I am unsure how to activate it, I can switch back and forth the two calls but I don't seem to know how to access the conference call feature if a second call isn't comes in while on another (But I haven't used the conference feature on two out going call) I will have research this, I think this is a application thing not themes.. But I haven't had any lock ups.
