Ha! "There's a thread for that" - to borrow another snarky line, and corrupt it.

FM radio is useful. Plenty of people take their devices to the gym where they have transmitters set up for listening to the audio of the TV feeds. Also, internet radio *sometimes* will blank out when your favorite sports team is playing on normal radio. Don't get me started on the greed of NFL owners when it comes to the "internet rights" of their teams

Finally, FM radio draws so much less battery power that it really is a compelling option.

But hey, it's just my $.02
