Hey guys, I updated the AOSP 2.1 .cab today. Seems to be working much better this time. Give it a try if you were having issues with the other one, and let me know how it goes! Enjoy!

Its very easy to fix Scruf. I do not like auto backlight on either, so all I do is go into windows/startup folder and delete "Autobacklighton.exe".
