Yes, you should do a regedit. HKLM > Software > OEM >WModem. There are 3 or 4 values under WModem. Set the value of each to zero, then do a soft reset. Also, some folks have mentioned deleting the reg entry for rilphone.dll. I have not done so, and have had no problem the last few months, but YMMV, so it might be a good idea to search the forums about the rilphone.dll regedit to see if you need to make this change for yourself.
