Here is a tip.
I keep all custom icons in my storage card>ICONS folder.

Youtube example:
before
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Manila\Home\1]
"IconPath"=
\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Media\YouTube.lnk

FIXED ENTRY:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Manila\Home\1]
"IconPath"=
\storage card\ICONS\YouTube.PNG
