after you have edited the files, place them on the sd card to move over instead of activesync. i have a folder on my card that is called temp that i use to move files in and out of.

total commander shows your changes? i'm not following you on this one. via total commander, tap and hold on the file you want to copy over, select copy to clipboard, goto your windows folder and tap and hold and select paste. it will ask you if you want to overwrite the file, say yes and your set. again make sure manila is turned off.
