well, i'm not that great of a low level programmer, but i'm assuming the linux bootup process probably includes something that writes to registers to set the speed and stuff... considering that you can program natively, you can probably also do the same for a windows mobile application...
just that no one has done it yet? it seems no2chem is definitely capable, and especially since it's done for the tp2 android already it should be easier
with the slowness of wm, overclocking should help a lot for windows mobile
(i used to have a 6700 overclocked cpu 400->600mhz, ram from 100->150mhz, bus 150->300 mhz, and it was blazing fast(particularly due to the ram and bus overclocking interestingly enough), it makes me sad that two generations of phones down and it's slower than it...)
android runs decently only at 528 mhz
