A little off topic but assuming Santod will answer and is an authority on this as well, which do you prefer, BG4ALL or HDWalls? I've been playing with both, HDWalls is nice, transparent everywhere, nice quality background but the wallpaper doesn't rotate in landscape mode. the screen does but not the wallpaper. weird.
BG4ALL is nice but image is not HQ. If you crop in photoshop what is the exact dimension to get the best quality.

There is no layout edit option in landscape yet.
We had it in earlier Beta builds of 1.7, but took it out to further improve it first. So you will not find any option to change the layout there just yet.
As for the retractable slider in landscape, that is how it has always been by default.
BG4all will not have the same quality as HDwalls, no.
When I use it, I use 480x800 res. pictures along with MaxTTM4.1 to make the top and bottom bars skinned with the wallpaper, for the fullscreen effect.
There is also the VolDeus shell32.exe hack solution that can be used for HQwallpaper on all tabs and fullscreen wallpaper, with seperate portrait and landscape modes. That is my preference, but a little more delicate, as you can screw up your OS, if done wrong.
