I just enabled the music tab to try and replicate your issue and was able to have music playing, turn off screen, then wake up the device and unlock using the manila locker. I do not use slacker radio personally so I can't try that. Are you using cleanram and any task killer? could be a ram issue despite the huge amount this phone has.
