Try WiFi Router. Comes with most ROMs, and no need to buy PDANet. Works natively with any device that supports wifi. Basically, turns your phone into a mobile hotspot.

I've used it tons of times, quite fast (certainly faster than any speed you would get from bluetooth), one button to set up. And no need for any additional software on a client.
