Im not so sure. Software can turn the radio off,if the switch is on,but not if the switch is off (as far as I know) The question is,can the phone determine the state of the switch. If so,then a program could just turn the radio off in software,and then monitor the switch. The downside is,you probably would have to turn the wifi off when if you use said hypothetical program.
