It has also done the line thing with other colors cycling through them...kinda looks like an animated wallpaper. Sometimes I can get to go back to normal if I keep turning the screen on and off, but I usually have to take the battery out and reset it a few times to go back to normal. Programs still run while the screen is black, I also noticed if I hold down the power button to go to the slide2shutdown menu it sometimes fixes it...so I really can't tell if its a problem with the rom or a hardware problem. Any advice?
It sounds like a ribbon cable connecting the screen to the circuit board is loose, fried, whatever.

To test, I'd flash the phone back to stock and relock... but like I said, that sounds like a hardware failure. I've used EnergyROM's for a while now, and that's never happened to me
