What I do care about is setting it to auto and have a 5 Meg picture (point and shoot). But, that wasnt the case - That is why I started searching for a way to make the pictures better. I do know my HTC Diamond took awesome pictures, without me knowing anything about camera settings. So, I guess it is what it is with this phone. Kind of a bummer.

precisely, the Touch Pro also had a great "hands off" camera taking experience. Idk what they did wrong with the hero. but I really hope that the Evo's 8mp camera doesn't just take piles of doo doo that are burdened with even larger filesizes
